It's no doubt that Channing Tatum can act...really he was fucking great in A Guide to Recognizing Your Saints, but I haven't seen Stop Loss yet, and that'll prove to be another indication of his acting skills. She's the Man and Step Up do not show it's acting skills at all. So, they're casting him in Dear John which is based on the novel Dear John by Nicholas Sparks.
The book, which I happened to have read, was actually really good. Let me explain my reading habits. I randomly, and I do mean randomly, pick up books off the shelves and just buy them. Dear John was no exception. It's about a soldier who comes home on leave for the first time since leaving his father, and falls for a young college girl.
