Quality of Life Force?

Now, I know I already posted, but today I'm a post-whore. You'll see me thirty times (or more) on here posting about random stuff I've seen/not seen but heard. Right now though, I pulled up the hometown newspaper Newsday (that's LI, not shitty PA) and the front page on the internet site is about how the "Quality of Life" Force is trying to shut down a adult-shop which resides in the town of Babylon, New York (close proximity to Farmingdale). I don't know about you, but I've only stepped foot in one adult oriented shop, and my time there was rather pleasant, I was treated nicely, although prices are fucking outrageous in a place like that. This is the link to said article.

Interesting side point, there is a sign off of I-81, that reads "What do you lose by using Porn? Everything!" and everytime I see said sign, I chuckle and then sternly say "Negative good sirs." Prude people piss me off, man. Everyone has to make a living, and in some cases you have to be risque to do so. Whatever. I mean, I saw these porn shops constantly whilst living in New York, and they're strict as fuck when it comes to letting people inside, therefore I don't understand why people are so worried. Just because it's there I suppose, and old-people, and parents who don't let their kids out of the house have nothing better to do than bitch.

Another side-bar is that I was in the can today, and reading the new Kevin Smith book "My Boring Ass Life" and I look on the floor and there is local Chambersburg, PA newspaper the Public Opinion and on the front page (THE FRONT PAGE!) was something about how they've gotten a few citations on the streets of Shippensburg after following school buses around or some shit. Who cares about this shit? WHO GIVES A FUCK!? Seriously, I could give a fuck less about some dumbshit redneck who gets pummeled by a car after getting dropped off by a bus. There's a reason why too, because in all honesty, he probably didn't look both ways.

Torre agrees to principle contract with Dodgers...

That's right folks, Ex-Yankee skipper has apparently agreed in principle to a contract with the Dodgers spanning 3-years, and worth 14.5 mill. I know, I honestly don't give managers enough credit (unless it's Bobby Cox), but I do believe that Torre is a good manager, he had a good relationship with his guys, and just ran shit. The problem with the Yankees is, and will always be, the constant watch of Steinbrenner who should just buck up and manage the team himself.

Anyway, Torre to the Dodgers, Girardi to be the Yank's skipper.

Short is not GL...

Columbus Short is not going to play Green Lantern in George Miller's upcoming Justice League of America flick. He was apparently approached for the flick, and turned down their proposal saying that he doesn't want to do that type of movie.

Is this the same cat that did Accepted and Stomp The Yard or am I confused.

Regardless of his decision on a movie that I'll most likely boycott, I'd still like the cat to play Damon in FD:RLI.

So, whatever.

Week 8 picks a SUCCESS!

I would just like everyone to know that I went 12-1 in my week 8 NFL picks, holy eff.

Yes, I'm back from my three day or two-and-a-half day vacation. I enjoyed it, and seeing as how I was at the Jets game, I had to pick them, that's the only game I lost on.

Regardless, I thought everyone would get a kick out of this comic strip I found today. I might get sued for this.

As you can tell, my mind is every-fucking-where, man. I don't know. I'm just glad they're done. Compiling some of my favorite songs onto discs (some of them are favorites, some of them are riding music) is hard to do. This is not all of my favorite songs either. There truly are albums, that I love to death, but sometimes you get sick of certain albums while you're driving. So I create these; The Perfect Blend of Chaotic Mess.

I think the first track off the new Radiohead album is the best song I've heard thus far this year. Check it out...it's called "15 Step". The album is called "In Rainbows."

Manny's an asshole.

Seriously. This is JD, I'm back, and I've changed my password. I don't know how he's getting in all the time. It's mind-boggling. Regardless, I just read an article on Yahoo! Sports, and it's about Manny Ramirez saying he 'Doesn't Care' if they lose. He claims it's 'Not a big deal.' Well...Fuck you Manny Ramirez, it is a Big Deal, you don't play ball to lose. You play baseball to win. You think it means nothing to The Diamondbacks who just got swept by the Rockies? You think it means nothing to the Yankees who got beaten up good by the Indians? No, it means a lot. It means jobs, it means paychecks, and it means history. It doesn't mean nothing. It means a whole hell of a lot you arrogant prick. I hope you get traded to an Expansion team, you mook bastard.

P.S. Here's the article.

Stef McFeters

Hey Kids,

It's Lanceford T Manlode here, just letting you know that 'The Marc and JD Radio Show' has a special guest coming in on Sunday Night named Stef McFeters (www.stefmcfeters.com) and she's a graphic artist. It should be pretty awful, you know about Marc and JD already they interview guests like they're interviewing their parents; horridly! Anywho, just thought I'd chime in, I stole JD's password for this crap and decided to get (it) on.

Stef McFeters Sunday 10/21/07 only one NowLive! The Marc and JD Radio Show featuring Lanceford Terrance Manlode Esq.

Plus, don't eat Electrical cords - no matter how good they taste - whoo learned that the hard way.

Marc and JD's BoA would like to stress it's sadness for the loss of a friend. A friend of JD's died in a motorcycle accident, and I stress the friend part, because I may have not known him well enough to call him that.

Sorry.

Happiness is not funny.

So, this author David Michaelis has written a Biography of Charles Schulz. Schulz is the genius behind the "Peanuts" comic strip, and the writer and artist of all of them. This article is pretty awesome, as apparently the family no longer agrees with Michaelis' interpetation of the man. Take a look at the article.

Tommy Glavine declines $13 million dollar option. . .

That's right folks, Tom Glavine, a future HOFer, has declined his $13 million dollar option to play with the New York Mets for another yet, citing he "needs time to make the decision."

Maybe he'll sign with the Braves? Who knows?

Friday Night Lights.

Last season, the little shows that could were Friday Night Lights and Jericho. Both were fantastic, but in all honesty, Lights was better. It was like watching Beverly Hills 90210 with football. Everyone in the show shined, it was incredible. The football scenes literally had me on the edge of my seat, and Christ the ending of the first season is so good it made me want to watch the same episode again. Lights' first season can be found at most retailers for $20.

Sunken Subway Cars and boats.

Yeah, you read that correctly. What am I talking about? An episode of CSI: New York whereas they find a floating scuba diver (a floater in police talk). When they investigate further with a starfish, they find matter in it...matter that was once in old school New York Subway Cars. Which...in happenstance lay on the bottom of the East River. Why was I not told about this!? Why didn't anyone find it pertinent to tell me that they sink boats and subway cars to the bottom of the ocean when they're done being used...?! Christ, all the hours I've spent diving for buried treasure has been wasted!

Anywho. I found this to be really interesting, something about sinking ships has always given me the creeps. I don't know why.

GO ROCKIES!

James Wong...No...Seriously...

I don't know why I'm even posting this. It might be because I haven't slept yet today, and it's not 8am...and I have to work in two hours, so it's rather pointless. Therefore, I'm posting this article or lack-there-of, about a Live Action Dragon Ball Z movie directed by James Wong. No, you silly jackholes, not that James Wong. Not the James Wong who's phone number corresponded with Danny Bohnarmins. Anyway, they're making a live action movie for this cartoon? Has anyone seen it? I've heard it's pretty ridiculous. Tell me what it's about and most likely I'll ignore you completely and maybe I'll delete your post.

Said article can be found here...no wait here. Oh yeah, it's from those idiots at CHUD. Yeah, I called them idiots. I just don't care.

Report: Andruw Jones out of Atlanta.

ESPN is reporting that John Schuerholz has told Andruw Jones and his Super-Agent Scott Boras that The Braves have no interest in resigning the Gold Glove Center Fielder.

Jones hit an abysmal .222 this season with 26 HRs and 94 rbis, his worst numbers in a very long time. In his first 86 games batting cleanup for the Bravos, Jones collected a low 64 rbis batting in the spot.

Therefore the Braves went and traded for Texas Ranger First Baseman Mark Teixeira, who came in on August 1st, and in his 54 games with ATL he had 56 rbis batting in the cleanup spot.

The Braves are at no loss for talent, however, they're probably looking for a one year replacement.

Also, The Mets have decided to stick with Willie Randolph despite the collapse of the team at the end of the season. No duh. Was there any doubt really. The guy is still a good manager, although at the end of the season he looked worse than Jose Reyes September Batting Average.
