Teixeira, countless others, sign to avoid arbitration

Mark Teixeira got a pay raise after doing remarkably well after being traded to the Braves last season. He avoided arbitration and signed a $12.5 million dollar deal.

Ryan Madson ($1.4) and Brad Lidge ($6.35 mil) both avoided arbitration with the Phils.

Huston Street avoided arbitration with the A's and signed a $3.3 million dollar deal, a $3 million dollar pay raise compared to the $380,000 he made last year.

The Rays' Carlos Pena signed a one year deal worth $6 million; but reached a preliminary agreement on a 3-year near $25 million dollar contract.

Ryan Howard, Matt Holliday, Francisco Rodriguez, and Miguel Cabrera are still filing for arbitration.
