Here are the 2007 Oscar Noms...

Well the ones that count anyway...

Best Actor
George Clooney - Michael Clayton
Daniel Day Lewis - There Will Be Blood
Johnny Depp - Sweeney Todd
Tommy Lee Jones - The Valley of Elah
Viggo Mortensen - Eastern Promises

My Pick? Daniel Day Lewis.

Best Supporting Actor
Casey Affleck - The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford
Javier Bardem - No Country For Old Men
Philip Seymour Hoffman - Charlie Wilson's War
Hal Holbrook - Into the Wild
Tom Wilkinson - Michael Clayton

My Pick? Javier Bardem hands down. Hoffman was great in Charlie Wilson's War, but Bardem was OUTSTANDING in No Country For Old Men.

Best Actress
Cate Blanchett - Elizabeth: The Golden Age
Julie Christie - Away From Her
Marion Cotillard - La Vie En Rose
Laura Linney - The Savages
Ellen Page - Juno

My Pick? Well I've only seen Juno, but Ellen Page really owned that flick, so it would be her anyway.

Best Supporting Actress
Cate Blanchett - I'm Not There
Rudy Dee - American Gangster
Saoirse Ronan - Atonement
Amy Ryan - Gone Baby Gone
Tilda Swinton - Michael Clayton

My Pick? Saoirse Ronan from Atonement. I have seen three of the four others, so I think my pick is valid. This girl Ronan is going to play the lead in Peter Jackson's The Lovely Bones

Best Director
Julian Schnabel - The Diving Bell And The Butterfly
Jason Reitman - Juno
Tony Gilroy - Michael Clayton
Joel & Ethan Coen - No Country For Old Men
Paul Thomas Anderson - There Will Be Blood

My Pick? The Cohen Bros. duh. No Country For Old Men was fantastic.

Best Picture
Atonement
Juno
Michael Clayton
No Country For Old Men
There Will Be Blood

My Pick? Well it annoys me to no end that Ben Affleck didn't even get a Best Director nom for Gone Baby Gone and it annoys me that he got snubbed for Best Picture. I've seen every single one of these flicks, and my favorites are Atonement and No Country For Old Men. The others are good, but those are two of the best of the year. Atonement will probably win though...
