What the fuck, Canseco?

Seriously as I try desperately to find something to read I find this article on Yahoo! Sports, whereas it says Magglio Ordonez was contacted by Jose Canseco, who asked for money to finance a movie based on his book Juiced. He claimed he wouldn't implicated Ordonez in his second book...

Now, I don't know about you, but I never really suspected Ordonez of using steroids, and Scott Boras is lit up over this (Boras is Ordonez's agent). Scott Boras filed a complaint with the FBI over Canseco's alleged call.

For the record Ordonez is probably one of the most even baseball players in the league right now. His numbers are fantastic; he sits on a .312 lifetime average, with nearly a 1,000 RBIs, and 247 HRs. He's been playing for ten years, this 2008 season will be his 11th; it pisses me off that Canseco is so desperate for money that he's trying to throw people (like Ordonez, A-Rod) under the Steroid-Bus. It's just stupid and ignorant.

Marion Jones: Going to the big house

Marion Jones was sentenced to 6 months in prison for lying under oath about steroids; she asked a Federal Judge for leniancy, but was denied that.

This makes you wonder about Barry Bonds and his lying to the Grand Jury. . . will he get 6 mos or more?

Steroids.

Alright, so I was just watching that Bryant Gumbal show that graces HBO's lineup on Sundays, and/or whenever it is they show it. I was watching, and their female correspondent was interviewing Gary Sheffield. Sheffield, as you may or may not know, is a Major League Baseball player who has played for the Brewers, Padres, Braves, Yankees and more currently the Detroit Tigers. He has admitted to putting something on his tongue (not penis) and rubbing a cream on his leg. He says that since it didn't work for him, that he never used steroids.

Now, I know that there are different forms of steroids or performance enhancing drugs. I understand that Barry Bonds went from twig to ginormous tree in the span of three seasons all by rubbing a little HGH or whatever on his body. Sheffield basically threatens baseball when he says that no one understands who is taking 'roids. If everyone who was taking steroids was abruptly caught or taken from baseball Sheffield's understanding is that baseball would be "dead."

It's my own personal belief that Sheffield is crazier than Tom Cruise. Maybe he and Tom can get together and talk about random shit that makes no sense. At least Bonds came out and said that he rubbed shit on himself. He may have said that he didn't know what it was, but that's horseshit. He knew, and he was smart enough to say "I didn't know what it was" he used performance enhancing drugs, because of the attention it got McGwire and Sosa back in '98 when the Home Run Challenge of Maris' record went on. He was pissed, because he had one of his best non-steroid years and no one gave a shit. Bonds is the way Bonds is, because people put their blinders on when Big Mac and Sosa were jacking 70+ HRs and obviously using steroids to do so. Now, Bonds is under scrutiny because he was caught - here's a fucking news flash people - Big Mac was caught too. The red-headed moron was stupid enough to leave the shit in his locker where everyone could see it.

Basically my point is that Bonds deserves some recognition for what he's doing. There's no doubt he's doing it on 'roids, but he's hitting a small ball, with a small stick, and making it go a long way.
I'm not denoting the fact that steroids are bad, I'm denoting the fact that people are just now making Bonds out to be the bad guy. Sure, he's a dick, but he's a dick who's going to have the most HR's in history very soon.


I will write more about this. It is, however, 4am, so I gotta get to sleep. And by sleep I mean read "Game of Shadows."

Chris Benoit and family found dead. EDIT times 3

Holy fucking Shit. I am in utter shock. I can't believe that Chris Benoit is dead, and that his entire family is dead as well. They were found dead this morning. For those of you who don't know - Chris Benoit was a professional wrestler for WCW/WWE..a multi-champion and just an all-round great entertainer. It sucks that he (and his family) have died. I stopped watching wrestling over a year ago, but even so, I enjoyed his matches. Especially anything he and Lance Storm did together. Once again, Chris Benoit dead at the age of 40.

Also, they're saying that the instruments of the murder were found at the scene, and it could be a "possible murder suicide." And the day before Benoit actually cancelled an appearance to spar with fellow wrestler CM Punk before an event. Now he's fucking dead. What the hell?


[EDIT: Okay, well after all the news and shit has poured in...they're saying the Chris Benoit killed his wife and son over the weekend, and then himself yesterday (Monday). There were no gunshot or stab wounds, and ...no one really knows what happened yet. Jesus, I feel stupid. I did like Benoit, but apparently the cat is a murderer. It's a crazy fucking world.]
[EDIT 2: Okay, so Benoit strangled his wife to death, and then smothered his son to death, then he went ahead and hung himself in his weight room. And it's all being linked to Steroids. Man.]

Mainly just his address over and over (can't send a card there now...can I?) and one to Chavo Guerrero telling him to let his dogs out. Regardless, this is a very sad sad story; immediately linked to roid rage. I really think Steroids get a bum rap.]
