...The fans are chanting to a different Barry...
I'm sure the chants are ringing throughout AT&T park..."BAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRY!", but these aren't the infamous chants directed towards Barry Bonds, instead they're towards the pitcher who signed a deal worth $1 gazillion dollars. Barry Zito signed a 7-year $126 million dollar contract which calculates to roughly $18 million a ...year. Barry Zito's 2007 & 2008 numbers are 11-23 with a 5.39 ERA. Is that worth $126 million over 7 years?
Fuck the heck it is not. Barry Zito wasn't lighting the world on fire over in Oakland, but he wasn't as horrible as he is right now, but I'll tell you what...I will give him some credit. The Giants stink. They're abysmal, they can't score runs, they can't win. Therefore Barry Zito can't win. He's 0-8 in his 2008 proverbial stink-fest. He's only struck out 22 guys in 9 starts and he's given up 31 Earned Runs..
God he still stinks, I don't care if the Giants don't score.

Giants sign Aaron Rowand.
This is insane, clearly insane. The San Francisco Giants who spent a boat-fucking-load of cash on former Oakland A's ace Barry Zito last year...drop a cool $60 million over five years to former White Sox/Phillies Center Fielder with a broken nose, Aaron Rowand. The deal was announced today. I didn't even know the Giants were in the market. All I want to see is Fred Lewis getting playing time.
