Gosling is the new Jack Ryan

You know, I loved the Jack Ryan flicks, Hunt For Red October despite my hatred for Alec Baldwin and Sum of All Fears, and Patriot Games with Harrison Ford. One of the strangest things imaginable though, is that Ryan Gosling (The Notebook, Lars and the Real Girl) is going to play Jack Ryan in an upcoming flick.

If you were going chronologically the next book by Clancy would be Debt of Honor which is pretty much never going to happen as it takes place after a plane is Hijacked by Terrorists and flown into the capital building.
